Infant Ticket Booking
As of October 1, 2024, the principle for determining the passenger type (INF) is now based on the passenger's age on the departure date of each flight segment. INF fares will only apply to passengers who meet the age requirement on the travel date.
Please make sure to verify passenger ages carefully at the time of booking to avoid any discrepancies.
Visa Reminder
Please be advised, Visa issues are the responsibility of passengers. Air carriers have no duty to inform passengers about required travel and immigration documents. Therefore, carriers bear no liability for denying boarding to passengers who do not comply with the applicable laws
The AU/NZ and many passport holders need to apply for a visa to visit Vietnam.
Visa is required if Pax travel on at least one Vietnam domestic flight, even though passengers just transit in Vietnam to travel to another country. (e.g. SYD-SGN-HAN-LHR/ CDG)
“Transit Without Visa program” (TWOV) reopened, agents need to be aware of this matter and advise Pax accordingly.

Passengers purchase Economy tickets from 20 Jun 2023 are eligible to get transit tour.

Extension of Extra Baggage policy
Extend the policy to give 1 extra piece of checked baggage until the end of Jun.
- Subject to application: FIT and Tour Passengers who purchase tickets at Economy Flex & Classic class ONLY (each passenger could bring up to 2 pieces of checked baggage).
- Class: Y, B, M, S, H, K, L, Q, N, R.
- Only applicable on flights operated by Vietnam Airlines
- Itineraries: HAN/SGN-MEL/SYD v.v (including transit domestic flights within 24hours).
- Ticket issuance period: from 01/06/2023 to30/06/2023.
- Travel period: from 01/08/2023 to 30/11/2023.
- Applied channel: traditional channel and website.

Name Change
Name change in GDS is prohibited. The PNR will be cancelled if the name is changed. Vietnam Airlines request FULL NAME in the PNR match the name on the passport.
